WHAT IS RAGGING?
(AS DEFINED BY THE HON’BLE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA)

Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any junior student, indulging in rowdy or indisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the student(s) to do any act or perform something which the student will not do in an ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the psyche and do a physical harm to a fresher or a junior student.

Ragging Free Campus

In accordance with the direction from Honorable Supreme Court ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in the campus.

Following punishments will be awarded to those involved in the act of ragging:
·Suspension form attending class and academic privileges.
·Withholding/ Withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship and other benefit.
·Debarring from appearing in any test/ examination or other evaluation process.
·Withholding results
·Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc.
·Suspension/ expulsion form hostel.
·Cancellation of admission.
·Rustication from the institute for a period ranging from one to two years, or one to four semester.
·Expulsion from the institute for a specified period.

Ragging includes one or more of the Acts as notified by the Honorable Supreme Court in its judgement.

Miscellaneous

·The information contained in this Brochure is in abridged form. The programme will be conducted as per rules and ordinances of two year MBA full time and five year integrated MBA programme.
·No student shall be permitted to pursue any other course and MBA programme simultaneously.
·Inter-institute and inter-department migration is not permitted.
·Students are required to wear the prescribed uniform.
·All disputes are subject to jurisdiction of Nainital courts only.
